The Designer

Designer April-J is one of Tampa, Florida’s best fashion designers who has been working and growing in the city. Starting in 2006 this designer started working on the CURB GEAR brand in St. Petersburg, Florida.  Coming from the International Academy of Design & Technology she increased her knowledge in fashion design and learned new ways to bring to birth her design creativity. Her designs have been seen and walked in Curb Gear Fashion Week MP, St. Pete Art & Fashion Week, Tampa Times, Glady’s, Bay Magazine, Luxe Magazine and Tampa Bay Magazine. She is the winner of the Grand Prix Gala fashion competition by Luxe Fashion Group for BEST DESIGN on March 22, 2013. She continues her work locally in the Tampa Bay area. Many of her designs have been donated to charities for uplifting unfortunate youth during prom and homecoming season. Remember to support and shop this local designer and her CURB GEAR brand.

Signature model Shayla Baker is the first model who walked the first ever designed collection pieces from Chateau De Curb Gear. She was the Muse the designer was inspired by when starting out to build the artful story of her fashion imagination.

Chateau De Curb Gear is a supporter of the Lupus Foundation of America. Fashion week is the highlight of new collections rolled out for every fashion brand in the industry. Chateau De Curb Gear raises awareness and funds during each fashion week event. Along with the brands fashion collection of new designs, there are designs on the runway in purple colors which stands out and speaks for Lupus awareness.
